Fulham v Reading

Fulham, missed our home game against them but saw enough at the Cottage toknow that they are a really good side, speed, a passing game and some quality players and even better lioke scoring goals from all over the place, player who makes them tick is Cainey.
Reading only saw once didn't rate them also hog the ball and can score a few but have my doubts that they can actually defend, Norwich potted seven past them, just have my doubts about them, Swift is useful but outsiders in my view.

Huddersfield v Sheff Wed

A Yorkshire derby between two sides with differing styles, Town play a pressing type of game can dominate possession but have the strange ability of not wanting to shoot when nin good positions. Like Reading have my doubts about their defence, will be fit although mass changes in last two games does not always work. Decent manager Wagner will be fun in the technical box with Carlos on the other side
Wednesday apart from today have been on a great run of form, spent a bit on players can choose from a four more than useful forwards. Bannon is an influence. Not a spectacular side but get the job done type of side. Think they will win this one but think Fulham will go up.
We've no chance. Just can't play against teams like Wednesday.
Very good assessment.

Wednesday should be a Premiership club, but I'm not sure they've got enough to make it this time. Huddersfield is the team I'd like to see go up, but I fear they won't show their form in the play-offs. I doubt they can keep Wagner if they stay down, but going up would necessitate a lot of clever business with under-rated German players.

Reading are a strange side. Letting in seven in a league game isn't the usual route to the Premiership. Fulham seem to be playing well and have an excellent manager who proved his ability with Watford. Like Themaclad I feel they can handle Reading and will hold their form against Wednesday. If I were Chairman of Leicester City I'd ditch Mr Shakespeare, who is bound to fail next season, and lay down big money to steal Fulham's manager ......

Isn't football a nasty business?
This is probably the most open play offs we have seen for a while. There isn't a lot to choose between any of the teams involved. You also have 4 different styles of playing from the 4 teams involved - Fulham play an open type of football with pace, Huddersfield will dominate possession and like to sit on 1-0 scores, Reading are more defensive than the rest and we like teams to come at us and get teams on the break!! Having said that, none of those tactics are set in stone either and all can adapt if need be, albeit without maybe being as good as they are with Plan A!! I would like to say its going to be fun, but the playoffs always seem more exciting when you are neutral, for those involved they are generally terrifying!!
You're damn right. The play offs are great to watch......when you're not involved.

When you are in, it's such a roller coaster of emotions. It's brought me to tears before. Not through losing but the sheer joy and release of tension when winning.

I just keep telling myself it doesn't matter. Win or lose, it's just a game

Yeah, right! Whistle
After 9 attempts you get used to losing then along comes number 10 and that's how you do it
I love the play offs but by god it doesn't half affect your emotions, win the semi finals and the final and it's happy days for the whole of the summer.
Lose and it's just awful...deep depression, nobody talk to me, let me stare down the bottom of several empty pint glasses while drowning my sorrows
Wakely hadn't realised you supported Blackburn!!!!!!!!
Themaclad you were too kind to say that after 9 attempts you get used to losing ........ and then you find you've only got to beat Chesterfield and you're on the way up.

I'd have liked it to be a Wednesday v Huddersfield final ........ why the hell couldn't you both have managed your seasons better, just think about all the pathetic points you've frittered away.

NO!!!!!!!!!! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDOOOOOOOOONNN'T! That way Blackburn and madness lies!
You have to remember our season only starts after we get hammered at agriffin Park usually early September and around Easter we usually can't be arsed, that's our problem

Now understand your last post DOH
