Well this is the last game of 2016 for Hibs, a momentous year when a Hibs team became a legendary one on 21 May and various Hibs heroes will be remembered by Hibs fans for all time and 'all demons' + the regular jibes from the 'usual suspects' were buried in one fell swoop!!! Thumb up
I hope the guys end the year in style by finally 'getting to grips' with a fairly poor Falkirk side in a fixture that their manager has somehow manipulated into a 'feud match' in recent times. We need to effectively play the match, win it and let the referee hopefully deal with their inevitable shenanigans that arise from certain players in their ranks.
Lenny's line up? Well lets hope he chooses the players who can actually play reasonably well on their crap artificial pitch and also handle the occasion! C'mon Hibs! 'Get in their faces', win this match in front of another big Hibs away support and end this historical year with aplomb!

This and the dundee utd game have become massive, massive games for us. Play a 4-4-2 and the only decision to make is re the forward roles. I'd stick with holt and cummings although as said earlier i don't particularly have faith in any of our forwards at the moment.
Myself personally would play Graham & Keatings up front holt & Jason done hew haw last week wee Keats scored twice against the barns last season lucky ground for him scoring and just feel Big Graham would be more mobile against their defenders than holt only my opinion

In my opinion the next two games are must win if we are going to have a comfortable run in during the second half of the season. Drop more points to Dundee United and we are starting to play serious catch up.....a situation in late years we have not been good at. Many have said.....just wait for Dundee Uniteds form to go.....just as we said about Hearts 2 years ago......it may happen as DU are not as strong in depth but we cannot rely on it.

Falkirk again on Saturday will be a battle with memories and old scores to settle from last season amongst those players involved. I expect Houston to have the same game plan by bringing us on and then looking to catch us on the break and from crosses at set pieces. He will rely on us again missing the chances that come our way.  This will have the feeling of a local derby so am not expecting free flowing attractive football but will probably be decided by the odd goal from a mistake, a bit of luck or a poor refereeing decision........lets hope it goes our way.

'mon Hibs, the odd goal win will do.

Graham is a decent finisher but his touch hasn't been great and he gets caught offside a lot.

I get where your coming from about Graham hibeejim but I feel here's a better finisher than holt if he gets a half chance he's better in the air and better close control. I'm just thinking about Graham's goals v Morton & Dumbarton for me Holts had his chance but has failed to come up with the goods

A very valuable 3 points today, away from home in difficult weather conditions. Thats about the best i can say as neither side played particularly well.

Commons quality proved invaluable in the end, capping off his performance with an excellent free kick to win it.

Happy new year when it comes lads!
Yep! Commons delivers and a Stanton inspired Sons' team 'ditches' United for Hibs to 'hit top spot' again!! Thumb up It's been a good day for the Cabbage n Ribs in front of a big Hibs away support, many of whom took advantage of the holiday period to add to the numbers!! Well done! Thumb up
Nice touch from kris commons at full time giving two young hibs fans a boot each. Well done kris

0762 what's your response to the linesman running the line opp side to falkirks main stand Horrendous is my way to describe his performance
I wasn't 'in line' with this AR but even that disadvantage did not disguise the fact that this lad had no idea what the offside rule actually is, OR is it more sinister than that?? We'll give this ref official the 'benefit of the doubt' but whatever happened to refs who overrule and dismiss such clear, wrong decisions by their assistants anyway??? Are they just frightened instead of making the right call? I reckon they are!
