Read my earlier post. I said I had hoped we could have unloaded Nuhiu and maybe Rhodes for a better quality striker. I didn't say to get rid of him without a replacement. SCO. Ditto. And thanks for explaining FPP. I see your point about the midfield but we do need someone to partner Joao.
I wasn't just referring to Nuhiu, our squad is so thin at the moment that unless JL has money to replace outgoing players we should be sticking with what we have and making it work for the rest of the season. January transfers are over priced usually and there are few decent free agents. The summer will be time for Jos to make the changes he thinks he needs to make.
As for partnering Joao, we have players who could do that, but they are injured!! FF, Hooper and Matias could all do a job for us, but they are not fit. Unfortunately we cannot change that now but I can't remember the last time we have virtually a full first team on the treatment table!!

I think Sean Clare's contract runs out in the summer too, so I would like to see him signed up too. I would have no problem if half of that lot went in the summer, give Jos some spending money to bring his players in.

The extent of those Fletcher and Rhodes contracts is a big financial burden. Let's hope they come back / score a few before May so we can offload them for more than tuppence in July.

The thing is flecther is xxxx usless and so is the village idiot at the moment ! but when they start scoring they are a different class both ! we seem to get bogged down in a 5 game period when they do score saying they are the dogs bollocks and on the 6th game nothing ? both are not prolific anymore thats the truth of it and neither are fit ? they are the old school strikers who thrive on pokes and anything in the 6 yard box that used to come cheep ! today it doesnt its a physical atheles game which they cant handle for the physical athletes game you need to have that extra yard of pace and that bit of skill ... fessi joao and the fatman have it ! these two do not !!
