THE LAST MATCH

Well we won which was the main thing, we controlled the match for majority and should have won by more than the 1 goal. It was the best football I have seen us play for quite sometime and backs up what was being said by MS in the games v Burnley & Bolton.

Been 6 years since we last played the Geordies, a 2-2 draw at Hillsborough. The Geordies have a distinct advantage in the head to head meetings, winning 57 to our 39, with 31 draws. Newcastle have made a very poor start to their season and are still waiting for their first win in the league, with their only win coming in this competition v Northampton.
