2-3 Matias

47 - lots more fouls than shots...
I'd go:

Price
Hunt Lees Sasso Wiggins (need some continuity in defence)
Semedo/Hutch (undecided)
Lee Lopez
Wallace Bus Sougou

obviously I'd have hooper in if he signed today
At some point Bus needs to get some game time unless he is totally crap in training. Undecided what to do with Matias, not been good the last couple of games but feels to me like a guy that just needs a goal to really get going, but Sougou was good when he came on the other night. Still wonder if Sougou is better as a 30 minute impact sub, but that will only work if we can get Matias into the game for the first hour or there is no point in doing it!!

Matias was our best player first half at Ipswich.

Reading double marked him. He is quality & needs t start for now. Still prefer Sougou & Joao as impact suns at the moment though both should start against Oxford.

I accept that but it does highlight the need for others to step up and use the space provided by Matias being double marked if that is the case.  It also puts pressure on him to use the double marking to his advantage when he can but more importantly he needs to be mobile to remove the shackles as well.  Of course all that comes with time as the team gets use to each other and I am sure CC has been working on that in training, but the good players and teams manage to find a way to overcome a team double marking a key player!!
CC experimented with Matias v Reading, chucking him up front alongside Joao for the last 25 mins. He actually made a couple of decent runs. Lopez and Hutch couldn't find him with the through balls.

He looked a bit tired to me, some of the foreign imports may take time to recover from the physicality of the Championship.

I'd start with him on the bench against Leeds. Personally I would play Lavery up front with Bus if Atty and Joao are injured. He was poor against Mansfield but he was playing down the LHS and he will be chomping at the bit to have another pop at Leeds in his natural position.

For now, CC's judgement can be trusted and I'm sure he will pick the right starting eleven.
So far CC has shown no appetite to play with two strikers aside from late in games when we are losing, so I am not convinced he will start with a formation that includes 2 strikers.

Brum 1-0 up on Derby at HT tonight. Brum have looked much better than I thought they would be and Derby have seemingly struggled in each of their games so far but have managed to get a draw in each one.
I suppose after tomorrow we'll know for sure. I feel tomorrow's line up could be very surprising.

Derby have lost their midfield anchor with Hughes out, they're definitely much weaker without him. I'd love a player like him in our squad.

A result tomorrow makes it so much sweeter as my Uncle is a L**ds fan.

While we haven't started that well, particularly in the last two games, it is refreshing for us to be able to talk about changes to the starting 11 and still having a decent amount of faith in those that may come in!!  Its been a long time since we had players with the quality of Lee, Semedo, Sasson, Helan etc as back up rather than automatic starters!!
