Claudio Ranieri has been appointed as Leicester City's manager on a three-year contract.

The 63-year-old Italian replaces Nigel Pearson, who was sacked in June despite keeping the Foxes in the Premier League last season.

Ranieri has not worked in England since leaving Stamford Bridge in 2004.

Really not sure about this one. Has a good resume but will he be able to operate under some budget restrictions and will he have the fighting spirit in the face of a relegation battle!! Time will tell, but I wonder if he is a "name" for the sake of a name!!
Find it funny that Chelsea fans don't even know who he is and he managed them.

The average Chelsea fan of today thinks they have always been in the Premier League and always been a huge club, which they are now. They forget about the 70s and 80s, let alone the barren decades before the 60s, they are a club with very little worthwhile history of success who hit the jackpot with Abramovich after the debacle that was Cuddly Ken!!

I don't begrudge them the success they have had since he took them over, I just wish they would show some humility and respect for history instead of acting like history only goes back to 1992!!  Man City are going the same way with some of the shite their fans spout but they have enough fans who remember being in the third division to keep their feet somewhat grounded.
