`potentially `A superb move by long suffering NUFC
The consistent Wijnaldum having played over 200 games in the Erdeviste, captained PSV to the title last season and pretty much a complete modern midfielder (a damn lot more than Fabian Delph!)
Hopefully will inspire Tiote and the other Newcastle underachievers

Newcastle have completed the signing of PSV Eindhoven midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old skippered PSV to the Eredivisie title last season and was named Dutch player of the year.

Wijnaldum has been heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park over the summer and the transfer has now been confirmed and although the transfer fee has not been revealed, the Magpies revealed it is the third biggest fee paid in the history of the club, after Alan Shearer and Michael Owen
Very good signing for Newcastle!! As you say hopefully this will get the other decent players they have to actually perform and fight for the club, something that has been missing recently.
I think Sky Sports got it right when they compared him to Clarence Seedorf

Just looking at BBC Gossip column-" New boss Steve McClaren expects Newcastle to finish in the top eight of the Premier League after the club record £14.4m signing of Dutch international midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, 24, from PSV Eindhoven. "

Club record? Erm Alan Shearer 15 million in 1996 i think you`ll find, why is the BBC riddled with so many errors these days?

They also paid more than that for Michael Owen!!  All the BBC has to do is read the clubs website and report what they are saying, that way no mistakes can be attributed to them, but this is just sloppy journalism!!
