Some very good inclusions

although no Mark Dennis, Jimmy Case, Paul Madeley, Graham Roberts
I suppose the definition of hard comes into play. Some of these players were just dirty, fouling all the time and even being reckless with some of them deliberately (Duncan Ferguson, Roy Keane). Others were just no nonsense players who could tackle and never shirked away from a challenge but tried to do it within the rules of the game (Dave Mackay, Johnny Giles)!!

It's an oxymoron surely, football hard man, much like police intelligence
I don't like dirty players, but I love the ones who are on the rough side. That's a pretty decent list all things considering.
