Steve McClaren has been sacked and Paul Clement the Real Madrid coach will take over.
I wonder why someone would want to leave Real Madrid for a Championship side??????
I saw that on the Telegraph website but nothing official has been announced yet. Wouldn't surprise me, their collapse at the end of the season was dramatic to say the least!
Well I think the Real Madrid coach would like to try venture into his first management job, Derby is a very good team and potenially they should be in the Premier League, they've got a good set of players, good youth set up and they just need a manager just to take them to that next step. I think McClaren should have been given another season or at least till January. I would say McClaren has done very well with Derby because under Nigel Clough they were a sort of lower mid-table side.

Charles I think there collapse was due to the amount of injuries they had to first team players especially there strikers. There was also Newcastle who kept tapping up McClaren and it was always in the media was he going to leave? or was he going to stay at Derby? So that there didn't help matters.
Didn't he just turn down Newcastle to stay loyal to Derby?
Indeed he did

Derby just looked Dead certs to win the division, how they blew it was terrible McClaren didnt seem to have a plan B or C as back up its been the same story at other sides he`s done well for-once it starts going wrong he was never able to reverse the tide

I definitely wouldve given him til Xmas, given how hes turned them into contenders the last two years on a small budget and found potential in many of the `journeyman` style player
Turns out he's not been sacked. Yet. His future is just in doubt.

It's official now Steve McClaren has been sacked as Derby manager.
And now he's back, it will end in tears again
Never return. Bound to be a disaster. He must be desperate.
