THE LAST MATCH

By all accounts for 75 mins we were second best to one of the worst teams in the division and hardly looked like scoring, only to finish the game in a blaze of glory that must have pushed Fat Boy Evans to a near heart attack!!!! Laugh As MS said in his match report it the finish probably masked how bad we were for most of the game, but boy it was one of those that will be remembered for a while by all!!!  Enjoy!! Thumb up

THE MATCH - SAT 4TH APRIL 2015 15.00 GMT

So do we class this as a local derby or just a Yorkshire Derby??  Either way we welcome the Village People for their annual trip to the big city.  They came up with us and since then we have almost been neck and neck in terms of our seasons since then.  This year though we have never been near the relegation scrap and while they are still technically possibly relegation threatened, the likelihood is that they will escape the drop with a few games to spare.  I am sure they will fill the top of the Leppings Lane so the atmosphere should be a decent one, here is a picture of some of their fans in traditional village dress:

[Image: images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTn6N9qA3YJHSnZbrF9Yev...suHZl4mtUf]

They are currently 18th, 9 points behind us and 9 points above third bottom, so I suppose we probably epitomise midtable ultimately!!  This will be our 52 meeting in all competitions with our record being W16 D11 L24, so not great from our perspective.  A closer look shows that we played 31 times before 1960 and as that was more their era than ours our record was poor at W9 D6 L16.  Since then we only played them once in the 60s, during our FA Cup run in 1966, twice in the 70s, 4 times in the 80s and not at all in the 90s!!!!  Since 1960 our record is a bit better at W8 D5 L8, so we are slowly gaining ground on them overall.

Earlier in the season we fought out a dull 0-0 draw in front of the Sky cameras, aside from Stevie May hitting the bar and post on the same shot it was completely boring!!  Watch this at your peril!!

CLASSIC MATCH

There really is only one game to show here.  Go back to our promotion season from the pub league and we played them in front of 28,600 just before Xmas.  They went 2-0 up in the first 20 minutes, with  2 goals for Jordan Rhodes,  we then scored 2 goals each side of half time to go 4-2 up with goals from Rob Jones, Reda, BM10 & COG only to see Rhodes pop up in the 70th and 90th minute to score his third and fourth goals and end the match 4-4!!!!

Can anybody see either of these teams scoring 4 goals in this one???? Doh

POTENTIAL LIVE STREAMING SITES

Each game I will post the links to the websites anyone mentions on the thread.  That way its easier to find the potential threads rather than scrolling through all the posts on the thread to find the ones where a link is posted.  Lets see how ths works.

Cricfree Football - stole this one from Larry on the Rangers board.

THE TEAM

Well I saw that SG spoke about playing some of the younger players in the run in, personally I don't think he has the balls to do that on any great scale so I expect pretty much an unchanged side, but then again you just never know with SG!!

THE MUPPET LEAGUE

I am letting SG out on parole for this one on the orders of DC so that he can prove himself or hang himself!!!

Time for DJ to be brought back in here for this game, its not as if he has anything else to do anyway!! Doh

All others are out on bail!!

It alright Imre, Fat Boy Evans said the same thing last week and we still beat them, so its old news anyway.

I think I or someone posted this last week but this article officially places us in 18th in England.  I think thats fair and it has us placed 4th biggest team not in the prem and bigger than 6 current prem teams as well!!!!  Of course its an endless debate but its always nice when a semi-official article places us quite high!!

2nd home match on the bounce that I'm missing, bloody weddings!!!!
I'm quite optimistic about this game
Gotta hate people who plan their weddings on a Saturday during the footie season!!!!  Of course I can't talk, my wedding in 1989 was the same day as we were away at Man Utd, was pissed i missed that one but I made sure the football results were read out at the reception!!!!  We drew 0-0 so the bonus was I managed to score more than both teams that day!!! Can I go for No Goal at all? If not I will go for 55th minute.

HDAHH
Yes you may go for no goal at all, I will put you down for that.
The Bastard in the Black is Mark Haywood (Not to be confused with Mark Heywood)

Our record with this ref:

Jan 2013 - Hull 1-3 Wednesday - 1Y

That's it!

So a 100% record with this ref and a brilliant victory as DJ played 451 at the KC.

He pretty much gives two yellow cards per match and red cards are a rarity. Neil Lennon recently described him as the worst referee that he had seen in English football and gave his players no protection.

Surprisingly, he is from West Yorkshire.
Morning chaps,

I doubt we will win so that leaves me trying to decide if it's another bore draw as per the game earlier this season or a Wednesday win. I'd probably settle for the bore draw and only because I'm not daft enough to part with £30 this weekend.
To be honest having seen some of the sh*t Town have turned out since New Year I couldn't give a flying f**k what the result is, I expect us to lose so I won't be any more disappointed than I am already with the way this season has gone
Good to get back to 'proper' football.
