Fairly simple poll, will DC sack SG before the end of this season, will he sack him during the close season or will he stick with him?? This is not what you want to happen, but what you think will happen!!
He'll be manager next season
Inclined to agree.

MM has given SG a glowing reference, which appears to count for a lot. We have had a run of matches against the bottom four sides so those wins at Millwall, Blackpool & Rotherham have made SG look better than he is. He has repeatedly said that we will do much better with a new pitch which has masked some terrible performances at home. However, we have also been terrible away at Ipswich, Reading & Wolves where the pitches were perfect.

I think the only way SG won't start next season is if we lose five of the remaining seven matches. That is unlikely as Huddersfield look like an easy win as they are playing worse than us. Our away matches are all tough so defeats are excusable but we need some better performances, particularly at home. A bad defeat against Leeds could also do for SG.
I think we would have to lose every game left in the season for SG to get the sack.

He will be in charge at the start of next season Doh Thumb down Doh
I'm happy for him to be manager (head coach Doh) next season btw, provided he can get in decent players and is given help, in the form of coaches, from those at the top. However, next season my expectations will be higher and as such my levels of acceptance will decrease. 4/5 games of poor performances and results and he should go because that isusually the difference between automatic promotion and 7th
Lets see if he can get anyone decent now we have a bit of cash! Never know Bus might grab 20+ goals next season too!

I hate to judge a manager over 4 or 5 matches.

This season has been the most boring in almost 40 years and that is enough for me. Whether he can get us in the top six with millions to spend won't convince me he is any good. Just look at the Forums of his former clubs and you read the same things - boring football, poor tactics, inflexible.

If we start with SG next season, our only hope of promotion is five straight defeats, a sacking and hope the new guy can do it in 41 matches.
It's not judging over 4/5 matches,it's judging over 1 season and 4/5 matches because, as you said, a vast majority of games (particularly at home) have been mind numbingly boring this season, however, I'm willing to accept his excuses of budget restraints/injuries/pitch because this season has been relatively successful compared to pre-season estimations. Start next season the same as this has been and he should go because expectations should be higher
The acid test may well come before the season starts when we try to sign some quality players. SG has to be able to attract them and convince them to join us, I know ultimately money talks, but if he is unable to get players in then that may push DC over the edge.
I think DC will shock us all and sack the twat the day after our final game Thumb up

As MS has pointed out and I've mentioned on more than one occasion Angry the pitch excuse is just wank Angry

and that's just for starters Laugh
