Worrall spent six years in the Potteries and has penned a two-year deal at the SO Legal Stadium.

The 32-year-old has made nearly 500 appearances in the English Football League , almost half of them for Vale.

He began his career at Bury and has also played for Rotherham United, Oldham Athletic, Southend United and Millwall.

Worrall came through Bury's youth system and was picked up by Premier League side West Bromwich Albion in 2007, spending three years at The Hawthorns without making a first-team appearance.

He is a product of the Cheltenham academy but moved to Everton as a teenager and helped them to the Premier League under-23 title in 2016-17.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international's two years at Morecambe were badly affected by injury, including a knee ligament problem that required surgery and limited him to a single appearance in League One last season.
Barrow have signed midfielder Kian Spence from FA Trophy winners FC Halifax Town on a two-year contract, for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old played 20 games in the National League and FA Cup last term, but was not involved in the Shaymen's Wembley win over Gateshead.

Spence, who began his career at Middlesbrough, played under current Bluebirds boss Pete Wild at Fax.

"Every player wants to be playing in the EFL," Spence told the club website.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of what is going on at Barrow."

Wild added: "When I left Halifax I believed he was one of the brightest talents in the National League and after a tough season last year, I believe we can get Kian back to the levels he showed for me.

"He is a creative, athletic central midfielder who can get around the pitch, creating and scoring goals for the team."
Player-goalkeeping coach Josh Lillis has signed a new one-year deal with League Two side Barrow.

The 35-year-old provided cover for Paul Farman and Scott Moloney last season, playing five games, and continued the coaching role he has held since 2020.

In total he has played 10 games for the Bluebirds, keeping four clean sheets.

Lillis played nearly 300 games at Rochdale and also lists Notts County, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and AFC Fylde amongst his former clubs.

Barrow have signed Arsenal defender Mazeed Ogungbo for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.

The 20-year-old former Republic of Ireland Under-19 international spent last season on loan with Crawley Town in League Two.
