Just read, Manchester City charged with 100 breaches of the ffp by the premier league. May face expulsion from the premier or a points deduction.

Any guesses on their punishment?

I'm going for, a one point deduction and they will get 500 million pounds in compensation for the stress caused by losing that one point.
I'm sure fans of the nouveaux-riches Clubs will say that they've suffered long enough being 2nd class, so they're obviously chuffed with the way Money has taken over The Game. (I'm talking about Man City and, now, Newcastle - although knowing a few Magpies fans they're not too pleased with their Saudi owners. Chelsea fans think too much of themselves to feel embarrassed, though).

Psychologically they'll never feel the same love that the rest of us supporters feel - it's human nature. I just wished that 'The Big 6' had f***d off last Year, and took the Finance factor out of our Game. Angry
The Premier League has taken the unprecedented step of charging Manchester City with dozens of alleged breaches of its financial rules after a four-year investigation.

City are alleged to have submitted inaccurate information about revenue and their sponsorship deals with other Abu Dhabi-owned companies, made undeclared payments to managers and players, and broken financial fair play rules over a nine-year period to 2018.

The champions are also accused of failing to cooperate with the league’s investigation by providing documents for 2018 onwards.

I won`t hold my breath.

Is financial clout now going to mean that you lose your manager, because Leeds just sacked Marsch and Carlos is a Bielsa protegee successfully managing a club whose supporters rightly hate those above him? He has to be a major target.

And does this news suggest that Pep's recent fairly bizarre team selections and shorter-than-usual temper mean that Man City have been aware of what was about to come down the line for a while and knew their chances of winning the the league were limited by far more than getting better results than Arsenal?

Thank you, that does explain it but also shows why nobody can compete with the top six clubs, two of which got there by spending a small countries gdp before ffp was brought in.
Bring back level playing fields.

FFP is directly geared up to benefit the big clubs and directly structured to prevent others getting into this group. By making the rule about a set % of revenue, the established big clubs can therefore spend more because they have more revenue. Newcastle are trying to break into this group, but their revenue is under 200m, so well under half of Arsenal, the "poorest" of the 6 clubs we currently refer to, that essentially means that the top 6 can spend double what Newcastle can. Newcastle desperately need to stay in the Top 4, becasue that CL money will be the only way they can hope to catch up.

The PL and Uefa will say all day long that this is the best way to safeguard the game etc etc, but its not, it's the best way to prevent Leicester doing what they did!! If they were truly interested in a level playing field then they would have set a salary/transfer spending cap that is the same for every club but they won't do that.
If City get punished in any significant way I will eat my hat! (It’s made of chocolate).

But what a fantastic opportunity for them to be shown up for this and send a message to all the other clubs.
