Thought I'd start a general thread for the up coming Olympics.

Well it's started already. Two goals from Ellen White gave the GB Women football team a 2-0 win over Chile this morning.

Anybody watch it?

First shock of the tournament.....

USA 0-3 Sweden
I accidentally watched a bit of it this morning. So I'll need to do a bit of "proper planning" from here - https://olympics.com/tokyo-2020/olympic-...hedule.htm - alongwith my BBC programming schedule.
Love most sports but I do feel for the competitors , media seemed to have mixed feelings about it . Down to money no doubt but should never have taken place.
British skeet shooter Amber Hill has tested Covid positive and will now have to miss the games. Doesn't augur well, to be honest.

I heard that on Woman's Hour the other day. The official had no right to pass judgment.
Precisely, a jobsworth who thinks they run the event.
The Handball authorities now seem to be backing down after all the flak they've been getting.
Andy Murray and Joe Salisbury have knocked out the 2nd seeds from France, Mahut and someone else.
Ellen White scored again to beat Japan 1-0 in the women's football.
