This is a home match that I really hope Hibs can safely negotiate and pick up 3 pts with a decent victory that should secure our 3rd place in the Scot Prem. They've just been "dumped" out of the Scot Cup by Aberdeen while Hibs have progressed to the quarter-finals. So spirits must be high for the guys but I utter caution because it is a home match. We must improve our home form and start playing well on our own patch! Also we must keep a close eye on their striker, Thomas, who presents a physical threat. Just deploy a good defensive cover strategy to nullify that threat. C'mon Hibs! Lets sustain a positive unbeaten run and keep going!

Tough game and need our strikers to be more clinical. Not going to get as many chances as on Sunday, so any that do come along need to be taken.

To think that normally we would pray for a home tie but this season it seems to be a yoke around our necks.  Doh

If we do win I think that will be third for us but have a feeling it may end up a draw.

'mon Hibs

This is the big one. Win this and we have sealed third.

Livingston have been a pain in the arse for us at times though. Get it done and then we can concentrate on the cup.
What a great start by Hibs on 8mins! Boyly's good form continues and he races in on Livy's left flank to set up Kevin Nisbet who duly scores the 1st goal - great stuff!! Thumb up Then Boyly at it again by racing in to their pen box and wins a pk. Duly taken by Boyly himself and GOOOOAAAALLLLL! Thumb up 2-0 Hibs!! Lets keep going!! HT 2-0.
Second half dreadful..........we looked like we hadn't seen each other before, passing awful.

Livingston deserved a draw, fortunate to get the Boyle pen which turned out to be the winner.

Showed again we cannot cope with a fast high press.

Still, 3 points the most important thing.
FT 2-1 Hibs Thumb up Lost a pk after a strange substitution, Magennis for Newell, just on the pitch and he concedes that pen. I must say I'm not sure about Magennis any more!! I dunno what to make of him TBH esp after that last game v Stranraer in which I perceived he was one of the Hibs players who just didn't do enough for me. And then he concedes that pk tonight after Hibs defending very well up to that point. Anyway, no damage done and a great 3 pts "in the bag"! C'mon Celtic at Pittodrie tonight!!
Leigh Griffiths playing for Hibs already v Aberdeen tonight. Keeps The Dons at bay.
Nice one! Hibs now 6 pts ahead of the Dons with a superior GD! Thumb up
Sellick cannae buy a win at the moment. Fucks sake.

We should be home and hosed now though, Aberdeen are rotten. Boyle was tremendous 1st half tonight where we really got at them and Gogic had a very solid game particularly in the 2nd when things didn't always go our way. We were pretty steady at the back mostly as well which was nice.

0762 was right about the boy Thomas - I was quite impressed with him. Worth a punt in the summer ?
Aye! I don't think Thomas is on a long term contract. So might be worth a punt later on. On a similar theme, I hope Hibs make a move for the Morton CB, Magnus Fjortoft. He is in his mid 20s, 6'4" tall, and looks like he could play at a higher level of footie. He was definitely the mainstay of Morton's defence that held Hertz quite comfortably in a 0-0 draw.
