The final 5 fixtures have been published today.

Hibs play Rangers away on Sunday 11 April, Livingston at home on Wednesday 21 April, St Johnstone at home on Saturday 1 May, Aberdeen away on Wednesday 12 May and finally Celtic at home on Saturday 15 May.

One win and one draw will guarantee us at least 4th ahead of Livingston with probably one win being enough with our superior goal difference, but this is Hibs we're talking about. And I'd like to think we'll be good enough to clinch a deserved 3rd place.

Would have preferred 3 games away from home. Wink

Think we should have enough to get third.

3rd place would be good going, and a great first season for Ross.
Yep. I don't actually see Aberdeen or Livy picking up enough points to catch Hibs. I'd personally like to see Hibs really "turn over" Saint Johnstone as that is one fixture during this season which has pissed me off re the way Hibs have conceded so meekly to this particular team. I think Hibs are a better team, player for player, but for some reason they don't play as well as they should be doing it. Also during the close season I'd like Hibs to target Jason Kerr as a possible transfer to bolster our CB positions.
3rd place is Hibs to grab - or throw away and we will seldom get the chance to bring the Euro nights back to Easter Road.
Some of our supporters, like myself, will remember fondly the days of the "Inter Cities Fairs Cup" when we played host to Juventus,
Napoli, Roma and Barcelona beating all of them. That history should be enough to motivate our players and drive them on to seal the 3rd spot. We are well in front of Aberdeen so only a disastrous last 5 games could see us lose out.
We are well capable of taking a point of Celtic and that will be enough to see us through

Add in that epic comeback victory v Sporting Lisbon in the Cup Winners Cup (1972) when Sporting had a 2-1 lead from the 1st leg and suddenly, after a passive 1st half, Hibs exploded into life with a 6-1 victory to qualify for the next round and Jimmy O'Rourke scoring a notable "hat trick". Great Euro nights indeed! And there were others eg the Leeds Utd pk decider that Hibs just lost out, Hamburg and the goal that never was - crashed off the Hamburg goal stanchion and bounced back out, no Hibs goal awarded!
