Norman Hunter RIP

Sadly another victim of this deadly coronavirus, Hunter was one of the Leeds "greats" of the Don Revie inspired era. Definitely a tough-tackling player is a kind description of Hunter's style and one memorable aspect of his career was strangely not football related when he was embroiled in a full scale "pagger" with Man City's wee mid player, Franny Lee. Both of them red-carded but couldn't even get to the players' tunnel without having another "pagger". I can recall watching him at close quarters when Hibs played a great Leeds team in the UEFA Cup in late 1973 and really should've eliminated them over the two legs in which no goals were scored and Hibs eventually beaten in a pk decider at Easter Road Stadium in front of a huge crowd, about 50k spectators. RIP big man!
