Alan Stubbs and striker Jason Cummings have won the respective Championship Manager and League Young Player Awards for September.
Obviously consideration has been given to Hibs' wretched start to the season. Granted Hibs won 3 games out of 4 in September, but surely the awards were gained because of the 3-1 victory at Ibrox and the away League Cup win at Premiership Ross County. Alan Stubbs presided over an upturn in results for the Easter Road side, which will hopefully continue. To be perfectly honest, it would be difficult to see past Hearts' Robbie Neilson for any manager award, as he oversees the Gorgie team's relentless Championship dominance so far.
Jason Cummings was an integral part of Hibs' success last month with a last-gasp winner against Cowdenbeath as well as 2 goals in the win against Rangers. Jason's awards covered all 4 divisions, so should give the youngster a big boost.
Success breeds success, so let's hope this is the start of the Hibs' recovery.
