Stubbs in for two players in January!

The recent signings seem to be shrewd moves, but what I really want is a proper specialist left-back, either as competition for Stevenson or my preference of allowing Stevenson to move into midfield. To me, any other move will be a prelude to letting someone go.

I think we have to wait and see how the signings settle in to the Hibs format .

As you know Ritchie I have never been a big fan of Stevenson but he has become a good left back within this cr*p league and would struggle to get a start amongst all our other midfield players. The new guy apparently can play anywhere at the back and from his You Tube footage is not frightened to use either foot, so could cover LS.

Stanton loaned out to Livingston.

Jordan McGregor loaned to Berwick Rangers.

Both for the rest of the season.

'Last chance saloon' for these lads?

Certainly for Stanton 0762. Needs to develop more strength as he gets too easily pushed off the ball for a midfielder.

Fortunately given a four year contract quite a while ago but it becomes a huge challenge for many budding young starlets to break through to a 1st team position, grab it and hold on to it on merit!

I wonder if the average age of teams in scotland is dropping now ? At least it seems that way.

We could do a lot worse than go for that Al Baktouhi at dunfermline - he looks a very decent player.

Yep - watched highlights of the Pars' cup tie and he provided the main entertainment! I think there could be serious competition from other clubs to pick him up.
