Hibs transfers in and out, 2023

Millwall AFC in for Kevin Nisbet with a £1M+ bid! The Lions' offer already rejected by Hibs with a comment it is far too short of HFC's valuation. A case of watch this space eh!! Also not many reputable strikers left if he departs! Rolleyes And lets speculate what Hibs fans' reactions would be if the club (Kensell, Gordon et al) decides to do the "selling footie club routine" again under the present challenging circumstances"??? The final action that "broke the camel's back" eh? And Hibs fans no longer passive re the direction in which the footie club is being taken!!!?

Millwall FC in with a revised £2.3M bid - Hibs now considering this offer!! Confused Ron Gordon actually "showing his face" in this arrangement!!! Note 30% of this money goes to DAFC. So up the bid to £3M? And ask Millwall cordially if they have players who need game time????? After all, they are from a footie league that has players who are generally far superior to anything on offer in this absolutely shit Scottish Prem and that includes Hertz btw - lotsa people conveniently forgetting they were totally humiliated in the lowest rungs of Euro footie competition to the point where certain BT Sports contributors meekly conceded they were "out of their depth" and will do nothing other than make some money out of a failed Euro venture, just like all other similar Scot Euro teams in decades and decades of trying!! How fickle football fans are when it comes to this kinda stuff/criticism!! And while two multi-million pound spending Scot Prem clubs are bringing in multi-million pound players AND SUCKING IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE DOMESTIC TROPHY THEY CAN GET THEIR HANDS ON WHILE ALL OTHER POOR SCOTTISH FOOTIE CLUBS CAN ONLY LOOK ON AND ARE POWERLESS TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS USUAL!!! That's the reality of the football we watch in this country, Bella Caledonia!! Re Hibs situation - Boyly out injured, another goal scorer, Nisbet, possibly on his way out, Ron Gordon unseen and unheard for months - what a f###### nightmare, a disgrace. I said this before - Hibs and Johnson had an opportune period during the World Cup to prepare, identify and strengthen positions before the Scot Prem season restarted - what a massive failure where certain people at the club have effectively "sat on their hands" and literally did nothing!!!! Thumb down There's definitely a story behind this sham within the club. Is it relative to Hibs not being financially accountable in some way? Gordon's absence is glaring when leadership and passion for the positive future and direction of the club are required!!! Remember that positive "vision" when he first arrived at Hibs FC!!? Leeann Dempster would've been putting herself "out on a limb" under such circumstances and taking action of some sort. Not so with this regime!! This whole evolving scenario is unacceptable, could've been avoided and is very worrying TBF!

I don't think its a good deal particularly, but with 18 months left we are running out of options.
Heard Porto is staying til the end of the season.

Porto off to Watford for £450k!! Confirmed!! A good move for him btw and good luck son! Scot footie poorer again re these kinda transfers out of our sport!! For Hibs, at least there's the possibility of a future sell on fee. There's also a rumour of a poss transfer for Chris Cadden! Rolleyes
So what's the plan at HFC??????????? Can we somehow bring back Darren McGregor if Hibs and Ron Gordon not "gonna get the finger out" and do something significant before the transfer window closes??? DO SOMETHING FFS!!!!!!!! I've never looked forward to the end of a Hibs footie season for a long time!! This is definitely one of them and it epitomises the trials and tribulations of being a Hibs fan - enjoying the good times while we endure the bad times eventually and the lack of proper management at a footie club of our size - patiently waiting for the people in key positions to evolve and rebuild an accountable Hibs team. We've seen it all before and will we ever get accustomed to this??? I notice Celtic picking up a decent amount of transfer money (£7M-£10M) for Juranovic; a fraction of this money would be a godsend for Scot clubs like Hibs and others at the current time in order to improve the standard of this league a wee bit! Re HFC's position itself? We still have all the "building blocks in place" - a vg stadium, top class training facilities - all belonging to HFC and no debt hanging over the club any more. Also, just like me, Ron Gordon will have read Hibs consultation document of 2014 re the future projected growth of Edinburgh's population and subsequently the eventual "filling up to capacity" of ER Stadium by people who wanna watch a game of footie. Hibs have already proved how the demand is out there by reducing ticket prices v Saint Johnstone at ER Stadium. However, like AFC, it certainly looks like we are not being organised and run properly for a club of our size and reputation. A common factor for both clubs? American ownership with great aspirations, but no knowledge of Scot footie and what is required to successfully "tick over" as a consistent to mid-top six footie operation with the decent resources available to them? There is a huge concern amongst a lotta Hibs fans that we could be relegated this season due to the notable lack of action and leadership within the club plus the current transfer events compounding the probs while the club persists in retaining certain players who are not fit to wear a Hibs jersey. The paradox is that we are still within reach of a decent top six position if we had footie people in place who know how to strengthen and organise this team with conviction. Hibs definitely play well in certain key areas. I can only pray there is someone with the ability to pull in players, or use other current players to make this 1st team much more solid and durable. And try to "soldier through" to the end of the season. There's a bigger debate re Ron Gordon and the way he has been doing things at ER - gradually running down a good team from the days of John McGinn, Leeann Dempster and other vg servants of the club. And contrary to all the rivalry and partisan stuff between fans, it's well known he has been consulting/meeting up with the likes of AFC, Hertz and the SPFL re ways of pulling in extra revenue to give Scot clubs more financial clout in order to somehow compete in a poor footie league where Celtic and Rangers hardly lose matches any more for obvious reasons and to the detriment/damaged reputation of the game up here.

Demi Mitchell now sold to/signed up by Exeter City!! Ron Gordon selling anyone/everyone who can be sold????? No subsequent action to mitigate the missing player resources!!? Still no chat, no leadership, no explanation - is he "jumping ship"!!!!???? Some folk on Hibs SM saying he's ill?? Not ill enough to miss out on all this transfer activity!!!?

Hibs suddenly looking at Scott Arfield as a possible target plus ex-Killie CB, Stuart Findlay.

Looks like Nisbet wants to go to Millwall and Hibs have accepted their bid of around 2.4 mill.
Expected to go through early next week

Good news from Italy! A lotta interest in Josh Doig, a £9M fee being mooted! I think Hibs get a quarter of that fee if a transfer materialises in Italy Thumb up
Also James Forrest to ER being mentioned in some reports.
