Hibs v St Mirren, Sat 29 October, KO 3.00pm

Well, this looks like Hibs are finally hitting "make or break time" when they take on the Buddies tomorrow. Another defeat and I reckon that will place Lee Johnson's "coat on a shoogly peg" as the team attains four consecutive defeats and it indicates this group of players have a problem in properly pushing on and grabbing that 3rd place position in the Scot Prem with real commitment and ability to actually do it in a footie league that isn't exactly hitting high heights in terms of decent standards of footie - not after observing the colossal Euro footie failures for all Scottish sides and fans who perceived they were better than they actually are. The other scenario for Hibs could be a more positive one where the guys "rise to the challenge" and swat away a competing team near them in the league. Here's hoping we don't hit another crisis tomorrow and the manager actually "gets it right" for this crucial home match. C'mon Hibs, AND STOP MISSING GILT-EDGED SCORING OPPS!

Just back and Hibs "rise to the challenge" and come out with a fairly impressive 3-0 victory this afternoon to return to the 3rd place position in the Scot Prem. Our concerns dispelled for the time being and good to see Kukharevich bag another goal in the 2nd half after Boyly converting that vital pk just before the HT whistle. Hendo's goal was certainly the "pick of the bunch", an exquisite strike!! Well done!! Thumb up

Hendo is a frustrating player isn't he ? He has undoubted ability but his passing always seems just that wee bit "off" and he really needed to bulk up in close season.

Other than that this was a vital win after 3 really bad results, Joe Newell was a joy to watch and was good to see Myko make things happen and score a big goal. I like him a lot.

Think it should be mentioned just how well marshall has done for us since coming in, apart from chucking one in at celtic park he has been a terrific signing. Possibly even the best goalie I've seen at hibs since the late Andy Goram.

Yep! A vg point re Marshall's big contribution in pulling off saves at crucial times of games. He certainly played his part in this game. Lets hope Kukharevich has "found his mojo" when it comes to goal scoring. His work rate is excellent too.
