This should be a fairly straightforward win for Hibs, but hopefully Johnson will give a starting place to some of our talented young players who are not gonna be playing too many truly competitive matches this season.

FT and a comfortable 1-4 victory for Hibs with a "brace" of goals each for Joe Newell and Hendo. Hibs scoring early through a well struck Newell shot and fairly comfortable after that early score - a rare conversion for the Hibs midfielder. The match also stopped on a couple occasions due to fans collapsing and requiring medical attention prob due to heat stroke on a hot sunny day in Bonnyrigg - very concerning, but looks like all OK for both affected parties. Lotsa scoring opps for Hibs forwards, but our strikers disappointingly not "bagging" any of them and Aiden McGeady missing a pk in the 1st half as well - an extremely poor effort for the winger and one to forget very quickly, must do better, must focus and dispatch better than that Aiden!! Anyway, job done and Hibs top their PS cup group! GGTTH |
