And also who opted for that shared compromise anyway? Yep, the SFA! Utter folly! Thumb down

Not disagreeing re the ground Fred. But to use the wembley pitch as a comparison is ridiculous. Ibrox or Celtic park would be better options.

Think you are right Coop.....with the money floating around in the English game and at EFL one would expect Wembley to be impressive compared to the more financially poorer Scottish game. However Ibrox and Celtic Park are much more impressive than Hampden ( although that doesn't take a lot of doing!) in all aspects from the viewing through to the playing surface.

cant believe Gollum has only been demoted to the championship. League one is more his level. Imagine the furore if he gets any of our games.

Surely clubs could get sponsorship for pitches like they do in rugby. Advertise behind the goals and touchlines. And before anyone says it, i know we have hoardings.

He doesn't have a level IMO Coop, the man isn't fit to ref under 7's.

There isn't much room to do that Coop, well defo not at Tynie.

The main point being missed re Wembley is not the fact it was obviously a well financed stadium project for a hugely affluent football league, it's the fact it's pitch is reasonably well protected for special events, something that was properly studied and set up to accommodate the various FA controlled activities where the condition of the playing surface was deemed paramount for such high profile football spectacles! Scottish RU officials embraced that doctrine far more effectively than the nitwits who have haunted the SFA for years.
