Brackley Town - spireitematt - 14-01-2019

So at home to the holders of the FA Trophy. I would have liked Stockport away but they are away at Harrogate Town instead.

Full draw is

Ramsbottom United or Weymouth v AFC Fylde
Spennymoor Town v AFC Telford United
Carshalton Athletic v Barnet
Chesterfield v Brackley Town
Leyton Orient v Blyth Spartans
Hemel Hempstead Town v FC Halifax Town or Solihull Moors
Salford City v Maidstone United
Harrogate Town v Stockport County

Chance of getting to Wembley again?

RE: Brackley Town - Devongone - 15-01-2019

I'd rather win 0-3 at Aldershot.

RE: Brackley Town - Dancingwilldoit - 15-01-2019

So what will the reaction be if we go down again and get to a Wembley final under Sheridan ?

RE: Brackley Town - Devongone - 15-01-2019

Wembley didn't keep York out of the the National League North.

Brackley aren't as good as last season when they won it, but they will fight to retain their trophy.

There are currently six sides left in the Trophy who are definitely better than us and at least one of those who would be ranked below us will be currently playing better than us, so there are plenty of chances to get knocked out. But in our position any win has to be good. We need to go on a run and if it also takes us a long way in a cup which doesn't fascinate us ....... fine!

RE: Brackley Town - spireitematt - 15-01-2019

I would take survival and a Wembley trip.

RE: Brackley Town - Devongone - 16-01-2019

I would take survival and 0-6 against Brackley.

Three points from safety. Maidenhead winning last night puts us 5 points adrift of them.

Incidentally no place on the bench for German at Mansfield last night.

Apparently according to Hendon Crawley's plans for Ricky are long term. He hasn't figured at all yet. I suppose that's why they gave him the three year contract.

He's only been training part-time at most since MA's first day at the Proact, so I suppose they don't think he's ready.

In their position I'd be getting him on the bench at least ....... but last night they were getting the point they wanted until the 88th minute, which would have been a bit late even for a Solskjaer to turn it round.

I was shocked Crawley have long-term plans!
