Prediction League Results/Tables Week 2 - bomberbrown1968 - 12-08-2018

Welcome guys some decent scores this week well done  Thumb up

And with the change in scoring Matt score of 24 Points this week may take some beating,
All this and he got the gamball wrong but got 8 from ten results correct 4 of the being the correct scores, Wow well done Matt and if you remember Matt escaped Relegation by the skin of his teeh last season, Obviously his Preseason training worked,

In second we have Zinman who was stuck in Midfield after Saturday but luckily again (He had a lot last Year too) got Two correct Scores on Sunday Catapulting him up to 20 Points,( Zinman was the only one to chicken out playing the Gamball) shame on you   Rolleyes

Then from 3rd down to 7th we have a cluster of good scores in 3rd we have BBB on 14,
In 4th and 5th we have World Class and Beefy on 13, in 6th spot a point further adrift with 12 points was DD, then in 7th spot Sanjay with 11 Points

All can be pleased with this weeks work  Thumb up
The worrying thing as I'm sure the likes Of Zinman & SCO will be thinking is that Beefy is usually a slow starter and yet seems to find a way to win in the end, so his decent start to the season will be a real concern for them  Rolleyes

In 8th spot a decent Sunday saved Snoots as he scores 9 points, In equal 9th and also with 9 points but with a correct score less is Derby and SCO, and bringing up the rear in 11th is i'm afraid Amelia who its fair to say had the only disaster of the week,
Interesting to see how the tables are shaping up but it looks like a good close season is on the cards.

Cheers Beefy  Thumb up

Week 2 saw an unfamiliar face at the top as Matt backed up last weeks good start with a fantastic second week to open up a 10 point lead at the top, only another 30 odd weeks to hold on mate  Tongue .

A more familiar name moved into 2nd as Zinman moved up a whopping four places from last week to occupy the position he held for much of last season, while Worldclass only managed a week at the top as he fell into a share of 2nd.

Last years champion DD, also dropped a place into a share of 4th with one of the new boys as Beefy moved up a place from last week, seemingly taken in his stride the move into the Premiership  Whistle .

Derby drops a place to 6th with two similar scoring weeks to start the new season, while BBB climbs a couple of place with a healthier score this week than he managed last week.

St Charles drops a place to 8th, courtesy of two single figure scores so far.

Sanjay also drops a spot into 9th but did show a big improvement on the score he achieved in the first week.

Early holders of the relegation spots come in the form of Snooty in 10th who at least showed a massive improvement on week 1 and Amelia who showed a lesser improvement and props up the table with just a solitary point to show for her efforts.

Week 2 saw a general improvement in scoring - either you're all getting the hang of it or Beefy chose some very predictable games. Bonuses were extremely well chosen with nobody losing points on it, though the scoreball was rather harder to get with just 3 players getting the extra point. As usual the gamball proved harder to predict with a fairly even split between the winners and losers.

Top this week is Turkeydinner with an impressive 22 points - it helps when your only 2 correct score predictions happen to be you bonus and the gamball!

Another newbie, Spireitematt ties with Stairs for 2nd place, both with 6 correct results, Spireite with a correct gamball score and Stairs getting his bonus spot on and being one of the few to get the scoreball right.

Last week's winner, Themaclad, scored well again and is joined by Bomber on 17 points.

4eva actually got the most correct results but unfortunately was brought down by the gamball and ended up in mid-table. Last week 13 points would have been enough for 3rd place but only 7th for Baggieone this week, another one damaged by that evil gamball.

The strugglers in week 2 are Quantum and Twerton, both in single figures - though both also got the difficult scoreball right. Unfortunately Joker failed to get his predictions in and, with such a high scoring week, will find himself suitably punished.

Zin

The Championship has started at a great pace and is already outscoring its Premiership rivals with one less predictor and the top 6 have all topped the 20 point mark after week 2.

Themaclad returned another impressive week to maintain his lead at the top in his debut season in the league and has set a cracking standard to begin the season.

Keeping the lead down to five points are Bomber and Turkeydinner who had a stonking week to move up a place and hold a share of 2nd.

Spireitematt in 4th had an impressive week climbing two places and making it three of the top four places being held by non -Baggies.

Stairs also climbs a couple of spots up into 5th, while 4eva is also on the move climbing a place into 6th, and both enjoying a much better week than they had to start the season.

BaggieOne also climbs a place and sits in 7th and was another who put in a decent week after a slow start in week 1.

Twerton suffered a hefty fall of four places as he couldn’t match the double figure scores of those around him and finds himself down in 8th as a result.

Jokers no-show also cost him four positions and left him in 9th just a point clear of Quantum who at least managed to get some points on the board this week.

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 2 - Zinman - 12-08-2018

Not playing the gamball is based on the rational mathematical analysis of the potential gamball outcomes.....and I'm 6 points better off so far (due to always getting that particular result wrong, just like last year).

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 2 - 4evaabaggie - 12-08-2018

Zinman, that could be a good tactic, I would be six points better off if no gamball played and would be fourth above spireitematt on more crt. Hutu will still try for the extra points 16 points off top after two weeks ... long hard season ahead.
Good luck to all, well done to all especially the early leaders .......

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 2 - Beefy 1965 - 13-08-2018

RE: Prediction League Results/Tables Week 2 - St Charles Owl - 13-08-2018

Seems every time Zinman doesn't play the Gamball he gets the prediction wrong anyway!!! Zin, maybe this week try playing the Gamball and actually put in a good prediction, then you would love it again!!! On second thoughts, having seen what game Beefy has chosen this week, could you please put Brentford down for the win and not play the Gamball!!!!
