I remember Johnny Giles bought him back (from Charlton) when we got back in 76, and he couldn't stop scoring. He played alongside him in the Eire team, and it was good to have him back at the Club.

R.I.P. Paddy
(some minutes' silences today).

Spot on TalkSaft,
I remember him well - frightening when players you saw in your youth start to leave us

It's the price you pay for reaching our age, Willie. (I'm guessing you're about 70..............hahaha)

Shouldn't laugh.

I knew one of Paddy's former Charlton teammates, and he was delighted to see him back in the top Division. Nice bloke as well.
