You lot dont half moan. We are doing better than expected and unless someone turns up with a wad cash the only way forward is youth. People like Brunt and Whelan when first signed were young, raw and a bit toss and through development and football look what happenned to them two. If they were good enough already they wouldnt be signing for Sheff Wed. Patience. Some will come good. Some wont. nature of the game.

Agreed Dubai
we have done brilliantly so far while also carrying injuries to our better players but this also highlights that with a few more quid spent on the 1st team squad we could be dreaming of getting thrashed by the likes of Citeh every week

Agreed. Last time we were in this position was when we had Brunt and Whelan in the team but just didnt have finances to push on and ended up back in the pub league. I also remember though when we got rid of the reserve team and we didnt have even a deveopment quad. This time next year we will be premiership millionaires Rodney.

Now, I'm not one of them, But , take young imre for instance. Well, you might choose not to. If he were in a hot tub with six naked young women he's complain the water was too hot. Then, there's maddix. He comes across like a punter in a pub but I happen to know that he's just recovering from getting his high heeled shoes stuck in a tram line. On a Sunday, ffs. Then, there's chez. Good old chez. He once complained that the women I posted were over forty. Over bloody forty? They don't give you the after taste until they're at least sixty! Then, there's cons......Well, you get the drift.Just follow what pei says and you won't go far wrong.

I suppose we are all sufffering to a degree to higher expectations as a consequence of the good start to the season!! Certainly makes a change from trying to work out when we will get our first win of the season!! Looking back at the predictions thread we are definitely above where we all thought we would be.
Having said that it also shows that we may not actually be that far off sneaking a playoff spot and it is frustrating that we just don't have the finances to make that final push, so we will probably have to rely on the squad we currently have. This is where the development squad will hopefully fill the gaps in the coming seasons, so its good to see the club still trying to improve the quality of the youngsters we have on the books. Lets hope a few of these do indeed become the stars of the future!!

With Maguire missing, who do you think should get a run in the side? Personally I would give Helan a run on the left wing and move Maghoma to the right or just behind the front two. Service into the box is what we have been lacking and this is a chance for someone to stake a claim to be able to sort that problem!!
